Parents who allowed their 18-month-old-son to drive a car have both been ordered to perform 160 hours of community service. They were also banned from driving for six months.
The couple were charged in August after a video appeared on Youtube
showing the child on his
father's lap holding the
steering wheel while the
vehicle was moving in traffic.
The magistrate in Kwun Tong
court said the couple had
committed a serious driving
offence, because the toddler
was incapable of controlling
the car and had endangered
other road users.
