Indian police have charged
Tibetan Buddhism's third most
important leader with
conspiracy, after seizing more
than 1.3-million US dollars in
cash from his headquarters in
India.
The money, found in
January at the Karmapa Lama's
monastery, was in more than 20
currencies.
The Karmapa Lama,
who fled China more than a
decade ago, is considered a
potential successor to the
Dalai Lama.
