The United Nations says far
more Syrians than expected
have fled the country to
escape fighting, and it's
warning that this could signal
a mass movement of refugees.
A UNHCR spokeswoman said the number of people coming into Jordan from Syria had doubled over the past week, and overall about 215-thousand refugees had been registered in four neighbouring countries. |
