Postal worker jailed for fake sick notes

A former postal worker has been jailed for 26 months for using fake medical certificates to claim over 630 days of sick leave and HK$217,000 in pay over a two year period.

Tang Lak-Kit claimed to suffer from back pain and an anxiety disorder as a result of a finger injury.

A search of Mr Tang's home uncovered 900 blank medical certificates and doctors' stamps, which he said he had purchased from a mainland shopping website.
