Hundreds of people have marched from Central to Beijing's liaison office in Western, demanding the withdrawal of the controversial political framework for Hong Kong.

They raised slogans demanding genuine democracy and a dialogue with the mainland officials over the issue.

The protesters also tied yellow ribbons on the barriers outside the liaison office.

The Civil Human Rights Front, which organised the march, said more than 1,000 people took part while police estimated it at 740.
