Another member of the pro-democracy student group Scholarism has ended his hunger strike at Admiralty. Ng Man-him -- who had fasted for 120 hours -- gave up his action on Monday evening on the advice of a doctor.

Mr Ng said he had been suffering from a headache and stomach pain. But another hunger striker, Gloria Cheng, is continuing, though she has also followed medical advice and drunk an energy drink.

Scholarism wants the government to restart the political reform process. The government has rejected this.

Scholarism's convenor, Joshua Wong, stopped his hunger strike on Saturday after fasting for over four days. At one point, five people were on hunger strike.
