HKTDC's export confidence index / Preventing dental erosion / Art Basel
In the first part of Thursday's Backchat, we spoke to the HKTDC about an improvment in local exporters' confidence despite escalating trade tensions between the United States and its major trade partners.
In our main segment, we discussed the importance of maintaining dental health.
A recent survey conducted by the Society for Preventive Dentistry revealed that 96 percent of local adults aged between 25 and 45 are suffering from acidic tooth erosion. This marks a 4 percent increase compared to a similar survey conducted 17 years ago.
The organisation is urging individuals to undergo more frequent dental check-ups, stressing that the condition can be effectively treated if detected early. So what are the key symptoms of tooth erosion? How does it differ from tooth decay? What kinds of treatments are available?
