Lando Norris' first F1 World Drivers' Championship win / Wig requirement dropped for some UK courts / Under-16s social media ban kicks-off in Australia / Hong Kong’s Taoist festivals

On Friday's programme, we talked about McLaren's Lando Norris' first F1 World Drivers' Championship win. A former racing driver discussed the significance of Norris becoming Britain's first world champion since Lewis Hamilton.

We then turned our attention to the courtroom, where barristers in the UK have won the right to ditch a traditional headpiece: the wig.

After the break, we took a closer look at how people are coping with the world's first social media ban that was earlier implemented in Australia, targeting under 16s.

And finally, we concluded the show by talking to a historian about a once-in-a-decade Taoist festival to ward off angry spirits.

Property market Q2 outlook / AI marathon / Tunnel robot

    主持人:Brian Wong and Philip Wong

On Friday’s Backchat, we looked into the latest developments in Hong Kong's real estate market.

The second quarter of this year presents a mix of opportunities and challenges, with anticipated declines in Grade A office rents, a surge in hotel transactions, and increasing demand for education-related properties.
Investors are also seeking clarity on potential US interest rate cuts and what the medium-term impact would be — as they navigate an increasingly unpredictable market landscape.
Could potential rate cuts stimulate investments? And what does that tell us about the property market outlook?
After 9:45, we shifted our focus to artificial intelligence and found out more about the world's first half-marathon which will feature both humans and robots.

At 9:55, we also learned about an a highly-sophisticated tunnel inspector developed in Hong Kong, that has won Gold at the 2025 Edison Awards, better known as the "Oscars of Innovation".
