Businesses are bracing for an upsurge in visitors, with estimates showing that the city could welcome as many as 1.2 million Mainland Chinese tourists, a 10 percent increase from last year.

At least 3,600 restaurants, stores, supermarket and hotels across the territory will be offering discounts of up to 30% to encourage spending while a drone display will light up Victoria Harbour to celebrate the occasion.
