"Sharenting": a dangerous trend? / Madam Soong Ching-ling exhibition

    主持人:Janice Wong and Paul Zimmerman

On Thursday’s Backchat, we look at "sharenting" - when parents share news and images of their children on social media.

Proud parents are typically eager to share their children’s successes and milestones to friends and family… but experts say they should really think twice before pressing the ‘post’ button.
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner published a pamphlet earlier this month to provide tips for parents before they publish any post about their children online.
It says it’s important to respect children’s privacy and wishes before parents share anything about them on social media.
France has gone further by proposing to ban parents from sharing their children’s photos on social media while empowering courts to block websites found to jeopardise minors’ privacy.
So what’s considered too much when it comes to sharing photos and videos of your children? How harmful is it? How should we strike a good balance?
After 9:45am, we find out more about a new exhibition on Soong Ching-ling, the "mother of modern China."
