    Presenters:Jim Gould and Ada Wong

On Tuesday's Backchat we're talking about the government's Northern Metropolis development plans.

In his policy address, the Chief Executive John Lee explained that the new town would be divided into four different zones, covering logistics, innovation and technology, boundary commerce, and environmental land and water-based recreation.
At a news conference on Monday, Development Secretary Bernadette Linn highlighted that while studies were ongoing, the administration hoped to begin land resumption procedures by 2027, with 40 percent of flats to be constructed by 2032.
Described as "the new engine of Hong Kong's development," the Northern Metropolis is expected to create 500,000 new jobs and provide 500,000 housing units and boost Hong Kong's integration with the Greater Bay Area.
How are the plans likely to unfold? And are there adequate measures to protect biodiversity in the area?
