Lunar New Year tourism projections / Measures to shorten hospital waiting time

    主持人:Andrew Work and Rainbow Leung

On Friday's Backchat, we're talking about Lunar New Year tourism projections.

The Immigration Department said it expects over 7.5 million people to go in and out of Hong Kong throughout the holiday period. Meanwhile, 1 million tourists from the Mainland are expected to visit the territory, amounting to around 85% of pre-pandemic levels.
Visitors and locals will be treated to a display of extravaganza - including a Chinese New Year Parade in Tsim Sha Tsui and a 23 minute firework display on Sunday, in what officials have hailed as a demonstration of Hong Kong's return to normalcy.
Can retailers expect a boost in business? Have visitors' spending habits changed?
After 9:45, we’ll look at how public hospitals are planning to deal with surge in demand over the holidays.

9:05am-9:45am: Lunar New Year tourism projections

9:05am-9:20am: Samuel Ng, Director of Operations, Travel Industry Authority
