    Israel-Hezbollah conflict / KMB's female bus drivers

On Friday's Backchat, Global Focus talks about the escalation in tensions at the border between Israel and southern Lebanon.

UN diplomats have been hard at work trying to ease the situation between Israel and Hezbollah, as the Iran-backed group fired dozens of rockets at Israel in response to the killing of one of its top commanders by Israeli forces.
This comes just two weeks after the Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, threatened Cyprus, accusing the EU member state of allowing Israel to use its airspace and UK bases to attack southern Lebanon, a claim denied by the island's authorities.
How are local populations reacting to the looming threat of another conflict involving Lebanon and Israel? And what could the international community do to stop it from happening?
After 9:45, we discuss the role of women in male-dominated jobs, as KMB launches a bus route operated by female drivers only.

Overseas promotion of Hong Kong artists/ Aurora phenomenon

    主持人:Jim Gould and Car Ha

On Tuesday's Backchat, we're talking about Hong Kong's role as an international cultural centre.

Local think-tank the Hong Kong Coalition is calling on the city's arts bodies to boost the sector's outreach on the mainland as well as overseas, highlighting the benefits this would have in enhancing the territory's competitiveness.
The organisation also hopes to see more measures to turn the SAR into a regional intellectual property centre, a commitment outlined in China's 14th Five Year Plan.
In March this year, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority signed agreements with 22 overseas and mainland museums in what analysts saw as a significant step towards the sector's internationalisation.
Are we on the track to becoming a global leader in arts and intellectual property?
After 9:45, we learn more about the aurora light shows seen in recent days in both the northern and southern hemispheres, caused by geomagnetic storms emanating from solar activity.
