ESG and fine particulates / Vocational training for the elderly

On Tuesday’s Backchat, we’re talking about carbon neutrality. Over 500 businesses took part in the ESG Xchange climate summit last week, discussing ways through which business can contribute to Hong Kong’s carbon neutrality goals.

This comes as environmentalists warned that the region could face unprecedented challenges in the years to come, with extreme weather events poised to become more common.
Meanwhile, a new study led by researchers from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore revealed that fine particulate matters were linked to approximately 135 million premature deaths around globe from 1989 to 2020, with global warming expected to worsen the situation. Is a unified action the solution? We’ll find out.
After 9:45, we talk about vocational training for the elderly, as new courses have been launched to help seniors gain new skills.
