Blueprint for Arts and Culture and Creative Industries Development / HIV figures

On Thursday’s Backchat, we’re talking about the government’s new arts and culture blueprint, which spells out key directions such as promoting Chinese culture and building an international platform.

The paper highlights the need to boost the commercial potential of arts, while pledging to engage private developers. There are also plans to build cultural facilities in the Northern Metropolis, including a museum to showcase China’s achievements.
So how comprehensive is this blueprint? And how long will it take the different stakeholders to put these plans into action? We’ll find out.
After 9:45, we’ll look into the latest HIV figures, as NGOs call on those at risk to get tested more regularly, ahead of World AIDS Day on Sunday.
