Chinese President Xi Jinping is currently visiting Macau where he will oversee the inauguration of its new Chief Executive Sam Hou-fai and other members of his governing team on Friday.

This comes as the former Portuguese enclave faces increasing pressure to diversify its heavily gambling-reliant economy.

The city is also poised to leverage its role as a connector between Portuguese speaking nations, with business leaders hoping to launch a dedicated innovation and technology investment fund.
