In this week's episode, we will be talking about sustainable food systems with three speakers: Dr Flavia Fabiano, Researcher of international trade of agri-food products, food security and sustainability in The French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development, Raymond Mak, Co-founder & CEO of Farmacy HK, and Dr Kevin Kwok, Associate Director of Research Institute for Future Food and Associate Professor of Food Science and Nutrition at Polytechnic University. They will share their insights on working towards a more sustainable consumption, from food production to food waste management and creating values in food waste through technology. The three speakers spoke with moderator Camélia Aissat, Deputy Consul for Culture, Science and Education at the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau. They were invited to the Sustainability Lecture Series, jointly organised by the Research and Innovation Office and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau, with support from Polytechnic University’s Department of Food Science and Nutrition and the Research Institute for Future Food, to have a panel discussion entitled “Food Production: First Step Towards a More Sustainable Consumption”.
