Paul and Carolyn (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9 and 1.
Join them on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in new music, including three tracks from their album of the week, along with a carefully curated selection of classics, plus interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio and all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, a feature perfectly designed to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.

The Sunday Escape returns with new music from Primal Scream, Sleater-Kinney, Video Age, Ibibio Sound Machine, Ezra Collective, Downhaul, and, to the Pop Fugitives’ great surprise, Haircut 100(!). There’s also all the music from last week which didn’t get played, music from the week’s new albums (which include new ones from Hinds and MJ Lenderman) plus a couple of older tracks too.
In addition, Paul Thompson of The Red Stripes, The Side Burns and Black Lodge Cabaret will be coming into the studio to talk about upcoming gigs in Hong Kong for Guitar Wolf and Buzzcocks as well as to play some new music from The Side Burns’ latest album.
