Welcome to the Tuesday Brew Brew. Phil's back today, and so a HUGE "thanks" goes to James Ross for some fantastic Brewing over the past two weeks. We're in feet-first at 12.10 with our biz futurist Morris Miselowski, who joins us from Melbourne. Today in 2002, American aviator and all-round bright spark, Steve Fossett, became the first person to fly (float?!) around the world in a balloon. There's no shortage of hot air these days (the real kind) so how might that enable advances in naturally powered travel? Let's see. Jarrod Watt is away this week, so there will be a little less hot air (the other kind) on today's show. At 1.25, Dr. Merrin Pearse will be joined by Dr Liew Jia Huan to talk about doing research in freshwater habitats in Tasmania and Hong Kong. Jia Huan recently moved from Lingnan University to University of Tasmania, where he is a Lecturer in Freshwater Animal Ecology, and it's great to have him back on The Brew. Join us on Facebook live if you can.
Every weekday afternoon from 12 until 2... Only on Radio 3

Welcome to Thursday’s Brew. It’s raining, by the way, but have no fear, Mark Rawson will be with you right after the news to introduce some more awesome Brewed in HK tracks. As always, everything you hear in the first half hour will be created by more of Hong Kong’s wonderful musicians. Dr. David Gething, our vet, will be with you at 12:40. Today, on the back of a listener question, he wants to talk about some of the herbal, and maybe “Chinese medications” that are commonly prescribed for our pets, and really seem to work. Then at 1:25, we welcome back the creative powerhouse behind the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, Leanne Nicholls. She has an incredible project to tell you about today, so stay tuned for The Shark Symphony. Every weekday afternoon from 12 until 2... Only on Radio 3
