There’s some terrific music and stories from the ‘20s, ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s, plus a few laughs!

Jumping through the decades, once again, through the known and not so well known tunes of vintage lovelyness. The lighter side of things are provided by the likes of Eddie Cantor and Sheb Whooley. Things get a little darker with Bert Ennis & The Glee Club for a moment, until Colin starts spinning the Teddy Wilson and the Ray Conniff sides. S’Wonderful!

We welcome back, this week, special guest Fred Croft of ska/reggae band The Red Stripes. He’ll be choosing from some of his favourite sides that he grew up listening to from his parent’s record collection.

A 1925 instrumental version of a swing gem, a 1947 original that gave Peggy Lee her biggest chart hit, and a master class in dance from Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.
