The Chief Executive's Award for Exemplary Performance, launched by the Chief Executive in 2023, aims to recognize and commend outstanding civil service teams or individuals. This award encourages civil servants to continuously strive for excellence while showcasing the excellent performance of civil service teams and individuals to the public. By doing so, it helps citizens better understand and appreciate the good work of civil servants.

The Task Force on Basic Law Article 23 Legislation, comprising members from the Department of Justice (DoJ), the Security Bureau (SB), and the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF), was awarded the latest round of the Chief Executive's Award for Exemplary Performance.
