7.Effective Monitoring
Sixty-eight complaints and enquiries were made during 2000. Replies
(or interim ones) were given within 10 days. All the complaints
were investigated and thorough answers given to the complainants.
Complaints against RTHK may also be lodged with the Broadcasting
Authority. In 2000, 180 complaints were received but all, except
two, were classified by the BA as unactionable, minor breaches or
unsubstantiated. The two cases found to be breaches were dealt with
by the programme divisions concerned and appropriate disciplinary
action was taken.

7603 or fax 2338 3334. We will respond immediately wherever possible.
If the case requires detailed investigation, we will issue an interim
reply within 10 days.
