2. Corporate Initiatives
In 2008-09 RTHK will:
- continue to enhance participation by stakeholders and the general public with a view to strengthening transparency and accountability.
- maximize return on government funding by further enhancing cost efficiency and productivity;
- ensure staff handles public funds in a prudent and cost-effective manner.
- actively explore opportunities in generating revenue from RTHK programmes and contents for the government;
- initiate restoration of the RTHK audio and video archive for preservation of Hong Kong’s cultural heritage; and
- provide media coverage and produce special radio and television programmes for 2008 Election of the Legislative Council, the Olympic Torch Relay, Beijing Olympic 2008, Equestrain events, Paralympic Games and the 80th anniversary of broadcasting in Hong Kong.
