4. Radio Service
 The seven channels under radio services broadcast various types of programmes in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
In 2008-09,
- Radio Division will produce special programmes to promote and cover the Beijing Olympic Games and the Equestrian Events in Hong Kong. Also Radio Division will provide in-venue live coverage of the Equestrian Events in Hong Kong.
- Radio Division will produce special programmes to promote the Voters Registration Campaign and to cover the Legislative Council Election held in September.
- Radio 1 will produce specific programmes to serve the disabled and the underprivileged of society.
- Radio 2 will re-position as a ‘Family channel’ and will produce programmes and projects to foster harmony in family and neighbourhood relationships.
- Radio 3 will develop its online presence and increase programming for children.
- Radio 4 will broaden its scope by extending its coverage of the news and information of musical events in the Mainland and other cities in the region.
- Radio 5 will further promote the theme of active life-long learning for seniors through its elderly education programmes and community projects.
- Putonghua channel shall be strengthened in view of the demand for Putonghua education and to become a prominent Putonghua broadcaster among global Chinese communities.
- Chinese news service will continue to enhance its service especially the breaking news with video and text on web in addition to the conventional audio broadcast. English news service also plans to revamp its online news website by adding additional text, photos and audio elements.
- Radio Division will continue to improve its AM reception by the introduction of low-power FM service in some areas, subject to availability of frequency spectrum.
